You probably already know that hosting an event at your premises is an excllent way to develop business with existing customers or to recruit new ones
An experienced Event Host can be used to link presentations, interview key managers, or running Q&A sessions. It all takes careful planning and skilfull execution. I have extensive experience in this field and would like to talk to you about your next business event. Large or small.
Meanwhile here are a five event tips and Ideas
- Appeal to your target customers. When deciding what type of event to host, think about the business needs of your customers. Why should they give up time and travel to your event? You may want to launch a new product, process or customer incentive programme. Perhaps you want to introduce key customers to changes in the way your company works or get their thoughts and ideas on key topics affecting their business sector. It has to be worth their while
- Consider partnering with other non competing businesses. Working together with a non competing business with the same customer base can benefit both organisations. Each company markets the event to their own customers. This can generate new customers for both whilst giving customers more than one reason to attend
- Make certain you provide excellent customer service and effectively showcase your products or services throughout the event. It is important to ensure you have sufficient knowledgeable staff on hand to give each customer outstanding service. Be available to assist the guests who seem interested in your products or services but on no account must anyone feel pressured in to buying there and then
- Gather contact information and follow up. Its crucial that you gather contact information and keep in touch with the attendees afterwards. You can add them to your newsletter, invite them to link up on Linked In or call them to personally give them advance notice of a promotional discount. Do however stay on the right side of that fine line between spamming and providing meaningful information
- Measure the impact of the event. It is important to track the number of attendees who turned into customers to gauge the success of the event. Bear in mind though this may take many months or even years. To get feedback talk to customers during the event or send out a survey afterwards
