One of the first lessons in speech writing is the use of triads (groupings of three). If you can create alliteration (repetition of the sound from word to word), thats even better. Audiences love the sound of phrases like:
Government of the people, by the people, for the people.
Blood, sweat, and tears.
Clearly, quickly, concisely.
Motivate, renovate, captivate.
Pray, prepare, preach.
They want jobs, they want justice, they want respect.
Change the rhythm or omit one word or phrase in any of the above groupings and you lose the impact.
